Plastic Packaging Initiatives

Here at Feltex, our commitment to our planet extends beyond just products and processes: it’s how we challenge ourselves to do and be better every day, how we make decisions, how we reinvest in our people and our planet, and how we define what matters most as we work to deliver value for generations to come.

We are more specifically committed to the application of circular economy principles and the continual improvement in our environmental, quality, health and safety performance demonstrated by our externally accredited ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 management systems.

In 2022 we became a proud member of the Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation (APCO) a co-regulatory not-for-profit organisation leading the development of a circular economy for packaging in Australia. As part of this membership, we are working to assess all of our packaging and how we can improve our processes surrounding this aspect of our operations.

Responsible Recycling

We want to ensure that your products arrive safely to your project without damage, as a result we use a packaging to protect our carpet rolls and pallets when they are being transported. As our packaging is recyclable, we encourage you to responsibly recycle this packaging through your local council or recycling body.
If responsible recycling of our packaging from our product rolls and pallets is not available in your local area, as part of our ReCover Recycling program, you can opt to send this plastic packaging back to us at your cost, so that we can recycle responsibly on your behalf. We recommend that you store and collect this packaging before arranging collection to save on energy and transport costs.  Alternately, you can opt to have your product packaged without plastic to reduce the plastic usage on orders, to do so please get in touch with your local representative.
