The Block NZ 2014

Take some interior styling inspiration from Season 3 of The Block NZ. All of the carpet throughout the homes in The Block was proudly provided by us at Feltex. Season 3 saw  Alex and Corban, Quinn and Ben, Jo and Damo and Maree and James compete over ten weeks to turn two tired single storey bungalows into four two-story family homes.

With each and every room reveal, the couples amazed the judges with their ability to transform each space into luxurious, functional spaces for a modern family. Alex and Corban chose a grey plush pile carpet to complement their contemporary styling. It worked beautifully with the timber featured throughout, the black accents, copper fixtures and pale pastel pops of colour.

Jo and Damo chose a neutral carpet palette throughout the bedrooms and living areas which allowed their minimalist pieces, Scandinavian furniture, bold artworks and soft furnishings to sing. Maree and James went for a warmer a warmer carpet colour which was perfectly suited to the darker colour palette on the walls and soft furnishings. We love how they introduced quirky colour in the circular mats too.

Quinn and Ben chose a darker neutral for the carpet flooring of their master bedroom. Teamed with the dark grey walls it really warmed up this space giving it a lovely, lush texture. The long white drapes, luxurious linen, white ceiling, cornices and artwork and side table created perfect balance in this intimate space.
