Three Birds Renovations wrap-up their 6th house: Lana's forever home. Take a sneak peak inside...

For those of you following along at home, Three Birds Renovations - that popular trio of savvy women turning uninspiring suburban houses into contemporary show-stoppers - have been working on their biggest and most personal project yet - the current three storey family home of Marketing Director, Lana Taylor.

Taking her cue from the unique vistas of Santorini, the consistent theme of Lana’s design vision has been a largely white on white sophisticated style, with Aegean influenced splashes of colour. The journey to completion has been both entertaining and informative, with a series of brilliant renovating hints and tips from all three Birds.

Feltex Classic Stonefields adds textural interest to the room.

Lana chose the 100% wool carpet Stonefields in Costworld Stone

Feltex Carpets have partnered with Three Birds Renovations, having supplied our remarkable Redbook green® Mountain Chalet carpet for their House 5 project. The cut pile twist, made from renewably sourced polymer, Sorona®, was the perfect choice for all four bedrooms; soft, durable and simply cleaned with nothing but cold water.

So it was a real pleasure to learn that one of our most popular new carpets, the visually arresting, Feltex Classic Stonefields, had been chosen to add luxe to Lana’s forever home floor design. The brief was a premium product made of natural fibre that, along with providing a blank canvas, would be soft to the touch and also create some textural interest.

The carpet was used in both children's bedrooms and the master bedroom

Beginning with the transformation of the top floor, Stonefields in Cotsworld Stone, a light coloured 100% wool chunky loop pile, was selected for the stunning master bedroom and home office. Continuing on with the neutral aesthetic, Cotsworld Stone was also selected for both children’s bedrooms on the second floor; its ACCS Extra Heavy Duty rating making it the ideal all-rounder for performance and seriously good looks.

Lana’s design vision has been a largely white on white sophisticated style, with Aegean influenced splashes of colour.

Wrapping things up with the exterior renewal, Lana explains the ‘inspo’ for the entire house design was her beloved bougainvillea, the iconic purplish plant adorning much of Santorini.
A new chalky white roof, sideway decking and the all-important solar panels and Tesla Power Wall, completed this truly aspirational home.

The Three Birds House 6 project has been an intimate and fascinating journey in contemporary home renovation, renewal and style, and Feltex Carpets have been proud to have played a part in it.
